Q = ∆U+ W , since its isothermal do Temperature is constant means ∆T = 0, so Internal energy is zero since U is directly proportional to T, now if we put zero in equation we get -> Q = W , since heat is absorbed so Q is + so W is + which means Work is done one the gas
