In which part of oviduct does the fertilization of ovum takes place ? Proximal or distal I've checked the ptb book and even in volume 1 proximal part is mentioned but some resources go with the distal part , even nearpeer ai says distal part ...so what to choose as ampulla is in general the distal part so how the answer is proximal part ??

I think this difference arises due differnt point of reference. Jab hum uterus ko point of reference khty to Uterus se door wala hissa (ampulla) distal kehlata hai. Jab hum relative to the ovary khty to Ovary se egg release hota hai aur sab se pehle oviduct ke shuruati hissay (infundibulum/ampulla) mein jata hai. to conclusion is proximal part is the right option. I knew that point but still even if you consider ovary or the uterus the ampulla is still the distal part of fallopian tube .....but yes I just wanted to know which option we are supposed to mark right btw thanks
