Your answer is correct according to the problem given, if you look closely, 3116 J is exactly the half of 6232, it might be error, it's value is calculated from the 1/2 RT (according to the law of equipartition of energy), which is the formula of average kinetic energy per degree of freedom, instead of 3/2 nRT which is the actual formula of monoatomic ideal gas. So, there might be a glitch.
